Freeside 3.7 Released

I am pleased to announce the release of Freeside version 3.7.

This release on our current 3.x series features:

– Additional features for appointment handling
– Free address normalization, geocoding and census tract assignment from the U.S. Census service
– Cacti Integration
– Email and domain provisioning to LinuxMagic’s new MagicMail / CityEmail API
– Debian packages for installing Freeside

WISPAPalooza 2015 Freeside Training

WISPAPalooza will be taking place on October 12th – 15th at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Freeside will be offering an all-day training course Monday, October 12th from 8am – 6pm. The cost of training will be $195 per person. You can sign-up on our site here . If you’re a wireless (or wired) service provider and you haven’t yet been to a WISPA show, you owe it to yourself to go to one. The WISPA folks have been doing a great job over the past couple years putting on a top-notch show with useful, non-sales pitch sessions about the real challenges running and growing WISP and ISP businesses.

The WISPAPalooza fall show in Las Vegas has now firmly established itself as the leading trade show and do-not-miss event for independent ISPs, both wireless and wired.

Freeside 3.5 Released

I am pleased to announce the release of Freeside version 3.5.

– Final fixes to 477 reporting and submission for re-opened FCC site, improved UI for detecting and correcting errors before submission.

Freeside 2.3.9 released

I’m pleased to announce the release of Freeside version 2.3.9.

This is a maintenance release of the stable 2.3 series. It is intended for sites already using 2.3.x or earlier in production. New installations are advised to start with version 3.x instead.

Note that 2.3.x will be end-of-life after Q2 2014. Migration to 3.x is recommended. Companies needing support for 2.3.x after Q2 2014 are welcome to contact Freeside Internet Services, Inc. for targeted support.
